Delete your Scorevance account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Scorevance account, what is removed, and what we may need to retain for legal or security reasons.

1. Quick summary

When you request deletion of your Scorevance account:

  • Your account is deactivated and then permanently removed.
  • Personal information linked to your profile is deleted or anonymised.
  • Any remaining data we must keep (for example, for fraud prevention or legal obligations) is stored securely and only for as long as necessary.

Once your account has been deleted, it cannot be recovered. You will lose access to your predictions, history and any premium features linked to that account.

2. Delete your account from within the app

If you still have access to the Scorevance app, the fastest way to delete your account is from inside the app:

  1. Open the Scorevance app on your device.
  2. Go to your Profile or Account section.
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon) or Account settings.
  4. Select Delete account (or similar option).
  5. Read the confirmation message carefully and follow the on-screen steps.

If the "Delete account" option is not yet available in your version of the app, or you are unable to log in, you can request deletion by email as described below.

3. Request account deletion by email

If you cannot access the app or prefer to contact us directly, you can request deletion by email:

Include the following details

  • • Subject line: "Account deletion request"
  • • The email address linked to your Scorevance account
  • • (Optional) The platform you use (iOS / Android)

For your security, we may ask you to verify that you are the account owner before we complete the deletion.

4. What is deleted and what may be retained

Data we delete or anonymise

  • Profile information (such as name, email and basic account details).
  • App-specific preferences and settings.
  • Prediction history and usage data that can reasonably be linked back to you.

Data we may need to keep

  • Limited records required for legal, accounting or regulatory purposes.
  • Data required to prevent fraud, abuse or misuse of our services.
  • Aggregated, anonymised statistics that do not identify you personally. Anonymisation is achieved by aggregation across multiple users such that no individual can be singled out; such data is no longer considered personal data under UK GDPR.

Any retained information is minimised and access is restricted. We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purposes described above.

5. How long account deletion takes

We will action your account deletion request without undue delay and in any event within 30 days of receiving it, in accordance with our obligations under UK GDPR Article 12. In straightforward cases, deletion is typically completed much sooner. If we require additional time (for example, due to verification checks or legal hold requirements), we will notify you within 30 days and explain the reason.

Where we must retain certain records for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes, we will inform you of what is retained and why, and we will restrict access to that data to only what is necessary.

Your right to complain: If you believe we have not handled your deletion request correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first, but you are free to contact the ICO at any time.
